WHY WE NEED YOU ?

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our IT team.

You will be responsible to ensure we can reliably provide tools and services to Scaleway teams. Another part of your job will be to support tools for the Datacenter Operation. We expect you to have a strong background in system administration, along with some DevOps experience and SRE practice. Our systems evolve constantly and the tools we use to monitor, ensure their resilience and their security need to evolve accordingly.

You will be part of a team of 4 people. The team has a strong expertise in software development and lifecycle management, skills in infrastructure, security, and compliance. Technical decisions are regularly challenged to determine the best approach. Continuous technology monitoring is essential to effectively support internal teams.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE :

- Create or optimize existing tools & documentation that will help identify, diagnose, and solve production incidents, automating as much as possible

- Troubleshoot high-impact issues by working with multiple Engineering teams (Storage, Network, Hardware)

- Organise DRP on our tools/services  to make sure we will always be able to deliver top-notch performance no matter what happens 

- Identify and implement optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of our infrastructure by leveraging observability and monitoring technologies

- Help implementing best stability, resiliency, scalability, security, and performance practices across the company

ABOUT YOU: 

SOFTSKILLS :

- A positive mindset and desire to work with a team

- Very good command of English

💻 HARDSKILLS : 

- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production system failures 

- Experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu server)

- Experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Proxmox)

- Experience with secret management tools and identity management technologies (Vault)

- Experience with Authentication and Authorization mechanisms (LDAP, SSSD, Keycloak)

- Experience in programming using at least one of these languages: Python, Go, JS, etc.

- Good understanding of computer networks: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing, IPv6, firewall, network virtualization (Opnsense, Ubiquiti)

- Passion for automation and incremental improvements in tooling

- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and continuous deployment (Ansible, AWX, Airflow)

- Experience monitoring, logging systems and SIEM(Grafana, Prometheus, Fluentd, ELK, Sentry, Wazuh)

- Experience managing CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Nexus, Sonarqube)

- Experience with backup solutions

- Knowledge of at least one cloud platform and related use cases/problematic

- Knowledge or experience with ISO27001/ PCI-DSS

- Previous ITIL experience

- Database knowledge to be able to troubleshoot performance issues (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Redis)
