Processing over 5 billion images a year and downloaded over 150 million times, Photoroom is now the world's #1 AI photo-editing app, available across mobile, web, and via an API in over 180 countries.

We are at an exciting stage of our journey, having successfully raised our Series B and looking to scale to $100M ARR in 2024.

TL;DR

🤓 We are looking for an expert in the People Operations and People Experience field, to help us continue to grow sustainably and keep our culture intact. As the new and very first People Ops Lead, you will design and implement the building blocks that enables us to continue our rapid growth. You are an early member of the People team, so your scope and ability make an impact will be practically limitless.

💰 €75k - €85k* depending on your experience and level of seniority + Stock-Options/BSPCE

🇪🇺 We are flexible: you can work from anywhere in Europe, come once a month to Paris (fully reimbursed), or come to the office more often.

✈️ We offer substantial support for relocation (up to 10k€ relocation package), including finding an apartment in Paris and supporting you with the visa procedure.

🛂 We currently sponsor visas for individuals relocating to France or already based here. We are unable to sponsor visas for remote positions outside of France at this time.

💻 Technology - new MacBook Pro, monitor, keyboard, etc.

🇬🇧 PhotoRoom is an international team and we work in English. We offer language lessons for those who need them (English & French).

*We can go higher for outstanding profiles and adapt to the cost of living if it is higher than in Paris.

✨ About the role ✨

  • You will have autonomy over building out value-adding People products and experiences to delight our team and enable them be at their best
  • Using a design and product mindset you will create user-friendly, simple, and efficient People processes that empower (rather than encumber) employees and improve performance, compensation, onboarding, leadership development, and other employee experience touch points.
  • You will oversee and execute what you build and make sure our people are engaged and understand how to use them for their own benefit
  • You will lead the charge to introduce new tools to the People tech stack, making sure we have what we need to collect, understand and report on data to keep our house in order and measure the impact of our work.
  • You will view your work through a DEI lens, making your work is inclusive and accessible for a team of brilliant people from all walks of life
  • We have a no DM policy at Photoroom, so you will be working in public.
  • ✨ About you ✨

  • You have been part of building People products and processes in fast moving environments full of brilliant minds and high ambition
  • You have experience succeeding (and maybe failing) to build from scratch and seeing the implementation through
  • You have experience creating products and processes to improve: onboarding, performance management, feedback, and HR systems (HRIS), or other impactful initiatives
  • You come with a tried and tested methodology that helps you understand pain points, design experiences and products, and communicate them effectively
  • You naturally gravitate towards shipping fast and are used to co-creating with colleagues from all teams and leveraging their expertise to super charge your work
  • You have a good understanding of French labour law
  • Bonus: experience building compensation frameworks, you know how to use things like Slack workflows, Zapier, and Apps scripts to automate low value tasks.
  • We might not be right for you if:

  • you want to always be 100% focused on only your own projects - we are still a small team and we help each other out to succeed.
  • you value perfection over fast iteration and progress, Photoroom might also not be the environment for you.
  • you only want to build but not own things - this is an end-to-end role, at least until the team grows bigger
  • Want to work 100% remotely, you will need to come to our Paris office at least once a month but likely more often to collaborate and co-create.
