Main responsibilities

The Global Sustainability team is looking for an experienced Lead to act as Sanofi CHC’s subject matter expert on human rights and responsible sourcing, managing relevant workstreams and developing critical working partnerships across the business to minimize risk and accelerate positive impact for people touched by Sanofi CHC’s business.  The Lead will:

  • Develop and manage Sanofi CHC’s global strategy and roadmap to human rights and responsible sourcing, ensuring alignment with UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, compliance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, and public targets across Sanofi CHC’s full value chain. The approach will prioritize parts of the business where potential and actual risks to people are most severe.

  • Manage implementation of relevant policies, ongoing human rights due diligence, grievance mechanisms and remedy, stakeholder engagement, and reporting (compliance disclosures including CSRD as well as ratings and rankings).

  • Ensure that the overall responsible sourcing approach is streamlined and comprehensive in nature, by integrating ongoing environmental work, notably supply chain emissions reductions (carried out by other colleagues).

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in key functions such as Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Legal, EHS, HR, etc. to develop and manage the strategy and objectives, policies, implementation guidelines, and execution.

  • Develop communication, training materials and pragmatic implementation tools for internal teams and suppliers.

  • Coordinate governance to ensure effective improvements to the program.

ABOUT YOU

We believe that professionals with the following experience and skillsets are well-suited for this position:

Education

  • Bachelors’ degree in relevant field (responsible supply chain, corporate responsibility, sustainability, human rights, etc.)

  • Advanced degree a plus.

Skills/Experience

  • 8+ years relevant experience in corporate human rights management and responsible sourcing, either in consulting or in-house roles.

  • Solid grasp of relevant human and labour rights standards.

  • Demonstrated experience working with international teams.

  • Preferred - Experience working in healthcare or fast-moving consumer products industries.

Organisational skills

  • Excellent ability to multi-task and consolidate an expansive array of topics and stakeholders.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accountability in work quality.

Communication

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • An ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, developing strong and collaborative working relationships.

Impact oriented

  • A hands-on, can-do attitude combined with an ability to work strategically and seize opportunities.

  • Ability to work at pace and deliver key milestones.

Desired traits

  • Ability to see the big picture.

  • An open mind, with an ability to pivot and flex as needed.

  • An international mindset, preferably developed from living in several countries.

Languages

  • Professional proficiency in English, both in understanding, speaking and writing.

  • French preferred but not required.
