Portu was founded in 2017 as a startup project at WOOD & Company. It is building an online investment platform where people can sort out all their investment needs in one place. It already has over 1 billion EUR assets under management and serves more than 250,000 registered users in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. In 2024, Portu became a separate entity, WOOD Retail Investments a.s., and obtained its own brokerage license. Portu is has a young, dynamic team of approximately 40 employees, who are more friends than just colleagues.
