Zeffy supports 50,000 nonprofits with the only truly free fundraising platform.
The challenge? Many platforms claim to be free but typically charge an average fee of 5% per transaction, totalling $3 billion annually in North America.
As Zeffy’s first Brand Director (reporting directly to the CEO), your mission is to fine-tune and elevate Zeffy’s unique value proposition—amplifying nonprofit impact by eliminating fundraising fees—and drive organic growth, ensuring Zeffy becomes the go-to choice for U.S. nonprofits.
Specifically, your mission will be to:
Find Zeffy’s most effective messaging by gaining deep understanding of nonprofit challenges, the fundraising landscape, and how Zeffy’s vision and brand fits within it.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate this new messaging into existing channels such as paid social, paid search, and our website, aiming to boost their performance.
Launch and scale new organic channels by testing initiatives. We don’t know yet which channel will scale best, but we have intuitions that the three following should be tested first : Public Relations, Social media, Community etc.
The expectation is that you would start alone or with freelancers and build a team as those channels scale.
🌟 Success of the marketing team means increasing exponentially the number of new active nonprofits on Zeffy (200% yearly as of today). Organic channels are more difficult to measure, but your metrics will be around reach and engagement across different organic channels. You will then work with the Head of Marketing to connect those goals to the new nonprofits goals.
You have 7+ years experience as a Brand Director or Senior Brand Manager, with a proven track record of positioning brands with the result of scaling organic channels and driving top-of-mind brand awareness.
You possess excellent written and oral English skills and are known as an exceptional storyteller. You have the ability to express complex messages in simple, impactful ways
You prioritize based on impact, and always try to find the more effective approach to reach your goals.
A plus: You have experience working in the U.S. market.

The corresponding salary range: CAD 110,000 to CAD 150,000+ and stock options
