Purpose of the job

Alma Operations teams handle many different processes on a daily basis, which need to scale efficiently to accompany the company’s growth. The team scope is quite varied, going from consumer support to fraud analysis and merchant activation.

The Operations Data Analyst objective is to make sure the team’s time is not wasted on time-consuming and/or low-value adding tasks. By finding the right tools and solutions, from no-code to AI, he/she will is responsible for making processes efficient and optimized.

This scope is currently handled by one person, and we’re looking to strengthen our capacity by recruiting another person to tackle 2025 (and further)’s challenges!

🎯 Main missions

As an Operations Data Analyst, you’ll be in charge of

• Building automated workflows to scale the execution of our Ops processes, by leveraging no-code tools, writing scripts or implementing external tooling. You’ll identify potential solutions and implement the most relevant.
• Contributing to our AI initiatives to improve agent productivity, roll-out AI Agents to answer consumer requests or explore its potential impact.
• Work closely with Operations Manager/Associate, Team Leaders to identify projects and processes where your expertise would be impactful.
• Help develop our tooling stack and our “build vs buy” strategy, by keeping aware of the market, benchmarking solutions and work closely with our Product & Engineering teams
• Promote a data-driven culture by conducting your own analysis, finding insights as well as measuring the impact of your actions (ROI, time-saved, impact on our main KPIs)

Some examples of recent or current projects:

• Implementation of an AI tool that identify user intent and find the relevant answer to the consumer’s email
• Develop fully automatic e-mails and sms reminders for outbound communications
• Revamping the dispatch system of tasks between members of a team, to strengthen monitoring and make sure tasks are properly prioritized

💡 Skills & knowledge

Hard skills – theoretical knowledge & experience

• A first experience (1-3 years) in a Data Analyst or technical role;
• Advanced skills in SQL, knowledge of a programming language (ex: Python) and API is a plus;
• Experience working with no-code solutions (Zapier, n8n or other);
• Master’s degree in engineering, finance, business;
• Fluent in English and French

Soft – behavioral skills

• Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize;
• Ability to understand business problematics;
• Capacity to find technical solutions to business & operational issues and translate them to non-technical stakeholders;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Taste for helping others, getting “hands-on” and solving problems
