Carenity is continuously seeking for talented individuals to join the Business Development team. Within the company we engage and collaborate with senior customer stakeholders in HEOR, Medical Affairs, RWE and Market Access departments of the top 20 Pharmaceutical companies, to support their data generation plan with our online digital CRO services, enabling RWE generation through online direct-to-patient studies with self-reported questionnaire.

The Business Development Director is responsible for identification, targeting, and securing new business through professional, consultative, proactive business development activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers. S/he drives the entire sales process and ensures smooth transition to the Data Science Team. S/he will execute on her/his Account sales strategy to gain market share and build high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified customer account(s)

  • Analyze and prioritize potential opportunities and develop strategic sales plans for each target account,

  • Understand account development and commercial strategy, product development portfolio, and pain points,

  • Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to customer,

  • Lead proposal strategy and development to ensure client needs are addressed and resourcing/pricing is appropriate,

  • Adapt successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets,

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end RFP process and proposal design (study methodology; define budget; timelines and resources allocation) that meet Client’s specific project goals and objectives.

  • Maintain close relationships with Data Science Team for identification of new opportunities to ensure account growth,

  • Proactively engage clients across all key functions up and down the sponsor organization; maintain high visibility within client organization and become the trusted advisor,

  • Develop a strong understanding of clients’ unique needs,


Profil recherché

  • Proven sales track record in healthcare consultancy,

  • Ability to work independently and as team player; including complex, dynamic teams,

  • Excellent business/industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business,

  • Strong consultative skills,

  • Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development,

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and to communicate at senior management level,

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others internally and externally,

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers,

  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines,

  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities,

  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment,

  • Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.

Education, Knowledge and experience:

  • Graduate degree at the master’s level; PhD, MD or PharmD level preferred,

  • Extensive consulting experience in observational studies, in B2B sales role, preferably in a CRO, Life Sciences Company or Consulting background specializing in Life Sciences,

  • Previous experience in HEOR; Medical affairs and/or RWE; experiences in Phase IV studies development will be strongly appreciated,

  • Demonstrated interests into evolving trends in, HEOR, RWE, clinical research and market access trends,

  • Strong sales acumen with a minimum of 5 years experiences in business development, including account management. A network of professional relationships within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a detailed understanding of professional services consultancy commercial aspects and planning process,

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand client challenges,

  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and sound judgement,

  • Global exposure requires a fluent English with excellent communication skills,

  • Fluency in French is a plus,

  • Travel exposure <25%,

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the EU (for EU locations) and the UK (for UK-based candidates),

  • Office is based in Paris (8e) but Remote location is possible within France, Spain, Germany; Freelance option possible for other countries
