Wakam is a B2B2C insurance company that creates white-label insurance solutions via its Play&Plug® technology platform for more than 80 partners. We provide most of our insurance products through API, and hosts white label insurance solutions via our Play&Plug technology platform.

With a footprint spanning 32 countries and revenue of more than €900 million in 2023, mostly generated outside France, Wakam is the European leader in digital and embedded insurance.

Mission

Wakam's model leads us to outsource many key processes for an insurer: underwriting, production, claims & complaints management. We control our partners on these different aspects through 3 levers: continuous operational control, technical analysis and testing.

Wakam considers that controlling is a core activity, which goes far beyond the framework required by the regulator. We control all of our partners every year, focusing not only on standard activities, but also always keeping in mind the following questions: "Does the partner offer the best quality of service for our clients? What is the real risk for us ?

In order to answer these questions, Wakam carries out control on all its partners: Controls are structured around the verification of internal practices and processes relating to the distribution and management of insurance products, the identification and assessment of risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Partnerships Control team plays a major role toward its policyholders and Regulators in France and Europe, to ensure the quality and reliability of delegated insurance activities.

Day-to-day:

Reporting to the Partnership Control Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Organise the control in line with the planning and be in charge of the preparation phase (contractual review, data management analysis, round table meeting with Wakam stakeholders);
• Participate in workshops to prepare controls and report results with Wakam and partner teams;
• Perform controls: on site or remotely with the partner, verifying compliance framework (AM:, IDD, GDPR…), testing customer journey, performing samples review and quality checks;
• Be in charge of the post phase control: analysis of the documentation, identifying issues, raising internal risk, define an action plan with the partner; and
• Follow up on action plans and closure of partner issues.

Profile

• Post graduate/Master level degree with audit speciality in the Insurance sector
• You have a successful experience of at least 5 years in audit/ Control/ internal control in an insurance company or in a consulting or control firm
• English language skills is required, 3rd European language is a real advantage
• Word /Excel skills
