Position Overview :

As a PR & Communications Manager, you will report to the Brand and Communications Director to shape and execute PayFit's communication strategies. Your responsibilities will include managing company announcements, developing targeted campaigns, and enhancing our brand presence in France, Spain, and the UK. Your role is crucial in engaging with key media outlets to drive thought leadership and position our executive team as industry leaders.

You are a strategic and enthusiastic communications professional, skilled in storytelling. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, combined with your creativity and attention to detail, will be essential to advancing our communications strategy. By nurturing a robust industry network, you will increase awareness and develop an impressive corporate image through effective communication and media relations programs.

Key Responsibilities


1/ Corporate & Consumer Communications

  • Develop a global communication framework and build an annual communications plan based on company and local roadmaps.
  • Oversee corporate and product announcements on a global level, guiding local teams for successful rollout in all markets.
  • Plan and execute owned campaigns, coordinating with local leads on corporate communications, data-driven PR, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Develop new angles and drive proactive pitches on tech, entrepreneurship, and HR & Payroll topics to maintain a strong media presence.
  • Lead PayFit’s PR efforts in media outlets alongside our PR agency, ensuring consistent and positive media coverage.
  • Create editorial content to enhance our share of voice and ensure consistent messaging, including press releases, speeches, Q&As, bylines, and keynotes.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of communication strategies and campaigns to ensure continuous improvement and report on key metrics.

2/ Executive Positioning

  • Develop the positioning of PayFit’s CEO, C-Levels, and internal experts, particularly through industry events and media appearances.
  • Manage and prepare executives for interviews, ensuring they are briefed and confident in delivering key messages.

3/ Internal Coordination & Project Management

  • Define and implement global and local governance for communication strategy, including the coordination of spokespersons in every market.
  • Brief and manage our PR agencies in France, the UK, and Spain to ensure successful execution and analysis of communication activities.
  • Integrate plans with global and local marketing teams and other business and internal stakeholders (e.g., internal communications) to ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Develop and manage crisis communication plans to protect the company’s reputation and ensure swift, effective responses to any issues.
  • Oversee the PR and communications budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Marketing or Communications.
  • 6+ years of experience in public relations (event management is a big plus), either in-house or at an agency.
  • Native-level French speaker with strong English capabilities (Spanish is a plus).
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, adaptable to various channels and audiences.
  • Skilled in project management, able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative approach to communications with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional setting.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interest in the French and European tech and startup ecosystem.


Interview process :

1. Interview with a recruiter - 45 minutes

2. Interview with the Chief Marketing Officer - 45 minutes

3. Business case with a member of the team & CMO -  60 minutes

4. Interview with the Brand and Communication Director  - 45 minutes

5. Interview with Firmin, CEO - 20 minutes
