Their story
Alex & Romain started Gorgias in 2015 with a Chrome Extension to help support agents write emails faster. Our first major user was Laurent from Foodchéri, a food delivery company, who faced challenges with slow response times and using 5 apps for customer support.
Laurent wanted to deliver an A+ support experience, and we saw the opportunity to help him achieve that. We decided to build a helpdesk to enable companies to provide fast, seamless support to customers. Laurent became our first customer and has been an invaluable source of insights ever since.
We initially focused on online merchants, especially those on Shopify, to grow our user base.
